My favorite fair memory would be working as a Malasada chair as a shadow. I became a chair/shadow with one of my friends and definitely did not regret signing up to do it although we weren’t able to finish our jobs this year at fair. At last year’s fair, I enjoyed working with the juniors at the time and learning about what I was responsible for as a chair. I’ve found that I like working with food so packing Malasadas and scooping ice cream was very fun especially because I got to do it with my friends. Also, when I was working at the front, it was kind of cool to be helping some of the people I knew or people that I haven’t seen for a while that were standing in line for Malasadas. Additionally, I didn’t always get the opportunity to stay late to clean up after fair so last year was especially fun because I was able to help take down the Malasada booth and overall contribute to breaking down the fair.

Although I have not contributed as much to fair as other people, I do agree that working at fair in general is pretty cool. You get to see a lot of different people from different places and even familiar ones you have not seen in a while. Also I do agree that food booths are cool. Whenever I would see someone at a food booth that I would know they would often sneak me a little extra or even charge me less than the actual price. Thank you for sharing your favorite fair memory!

I feel bad that you couldn’t work this year because it seems like you were really looking forward to working in the malasada booth since you shadowed it last year. I do agree that seeing people you know is really fun and that just working at fair in general is really not as bad as it seems. I hope maybe you can help out with the malasada booth next year.
